How do I change a backup battery?

Steps to replace the battery:

• Turn OFF the mains power to the alarm system by switching off the power point or unplugging the alarm transformer.

• Remove the small screw on the side of the metal panel door and open the panel.

• When the panel is opened, the alarm may sound. This is normal due to the tamper switch.

• Go to the keypad and enter your normal alarm code to silence the alarm.

• Inside the panel, disconnect the RED (positive) battery cable first, followed by the BLACK (negative) cable.

• Remove the old battery and place the new battery into the panel.

• Connect the RED (positive) cable first, then the BLACK (negative) cable.

• Close the panel door and secure it with the screw or lock.

• Restore mains power by plugging the transformer back in and switching the power point ON.
