Why is there a cable / string coming out of the wall near my meter box?
Intelligent Home installs a draw wire (string) inside the internal fibre conduit during construction. This is done in preparation for the future installation of the NBN fibre cable.
If you can see a cable or string coming out of the wall near your meter box, this usually indicates that the NBN connection to your home has not yet been completed.
The draw wire is intentionally left in place so the NBN technician can use it to pull the fibre optic cable through the conduit and into your home.
To complete your internet connection, you will need to contact your internet service provider (ISP) and arrange for an NBN technician to attend the property.
