What do I need to do prior to moving in?

New homes will require new connections for TV, phone and internet services.

For TV: Most service areas will require a TV antenna for free-to-air television services. Intelligent Home can supply and install TV antennas by contacting us here.

For phone and internet: We recommend selecting your phone and internet service provider 6 weeks before moving in to avoid connection delays. A guide to connecting your services can be found here.

Once your services are connected: Your Intelligent Home system may include a system handover. During a handover, a technician will check that your system works correctly and run through its features and operation with you. Your TV antenna, phone line (if you have one) and internet should be connected and switched on before your handover, as we cannot test and demonstrate your system's operation if these services are unavailable. Charges will apply if we need to return to complete your handover later.

For Starlink wireless service users: It’s important to note that the Starlink wireless internet service can’t be integrated with hardwired data points or a smart wire panel without a Starlink ethernet adaptor. Adaptors can be ordered directly from Starlink and should be installed as per Starlink’s set-up instructions. All Starlink hardware should be installed and operational before booking your handover. Charges will apply if we need to return to complete your handover later.
