What is Fibre to the Node (FTTN)?

Fibre to the Node (FTTN) uses the existing copper telephone network to deliver internet services to your home.

During construction, Intelligent Home installs a conduit from the external connection location to a designated internal wall point, typically labelled “Fibre Conduit.”

An NBN technician will then:

  • Run a copper cable from the street to the side of the home

  • Feed the cable through the installed conduit

  • Terminate it at the internal connection point

Once installed, you can connect your service provider’s modem to the designated wall outlet to access the internet.
