FTTP Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing issues with your FTTP connection, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: Check the NBN Connection Device
Locate your NBN connection device (usually mounted on a wall inside the home).
Check the UNI-D1 light.
If the UNI-D1 light is flashing or illuminated (orange), your service is connected to that port.
If the UNI-D1 light is off, your service may be assigned to a different UNI-D port. Try connecting your modem to another available UNI-D port and allow a few minutes for the connection to establish.
(Your Internet Service Provider can also confirm which UNI-D port your service is activated on.)
Step 2: Check Your Modem
Once your modem is connected correctly:
The WAN (or Internet) light should be illuminated.
The Internet light should become solid once connected.
If applicable, the Phone light should illuminate once your VoIP service is active.
Allow up to 5 minutes for the modem to establish a full connection.
Connecting Your Home Phone
If your phone service is active:
Plug your home telephone directly into the PHONE port on the back of your modem.
Do not plug the phone into the wall telephone outlet, as FTTP phone services operate through the modem.
If the issue persists after these checks, please contact your Internet Service Provider for further assistance.
