Why aren't my lights working?

If your lights are not responding, don’t worry — there are a few quick things you can check before calling us.

If the issue continues after trying the steps below, please contact the Intelligent Home office and we’ll be happy to help.

Step 1: Check Your Circuit Breakers

  • Go to your meter box or sub-board.

  • Check if any lighting breakers have tripped (they may be sitting in the middle position or in the OFF position).

  • If a breaker has tripped, try switching it fully OFF and then back ON.

If it trips again, leave it OFF and contact us, as this may indicate an electrical fault.

Step 2: Check the C-Bus Board

Locate your Clipsal C-Bus panel.

  • Look at the units on the board.

  • Check that both the “Unit” and “C-Bus” indicator lights are ON.

  • These lights are usually green or orange.

If the lights are OFF, there may be a power supply issue.

Step 3: Check Your Wall Switches

  • Press the light switch as normal.

  • Do the switch LEDs flash repeatedly or behave unusually?

Flashing switches can indicate a network or power issue with the system.

Still Not Working?

If you’ve checked the steps above and your lights are still not operating correctly, please contact the Intelligent Home office for assistance.
